We love it when Hope comes together to connect with one another, and to serve each other and the wider community in Islington.

PRISON MINISTRY

Right on the edge of the parish is HMP Pentonville - a local category B resettlement prison for remand and convicted male prisoners aged 18 and over. For many incarcerated here, it can feel like there is no hope and no future.

Our Community Outreach Manager regularly goes in to Pentonville to assist with courses like Alpha and Hope Explored. More volunteers from Hope Church also support and pray for the inmates once a month during their Sunday services with a vision of helping those who may be at their lowest point in life, finding Hope through Christ.

As we work together to be community beyond our usual meetings, we want to offer opportunities. Opportunities to ask for help when you need it, whether that’s practical help, emotional support or spiritual care. If you’re struggling, we really want to hear from you. Get in touch by email.
