Our biannual Women's Breakfasts are open to all women - from Hope Church and beyond - and are a great way to get to know other ladies from the church and area!
We will start with breakfast together, before a talk and time for questions. We have had some really inspiring women speak at past breakfasts, and this event will be no exception...
We are delighted that our key speaker this October will be Mandy Marshall. Mandy is the co-founder and Co-Director of Restored, an international Christian alliance to transform relationships and end violence against women. It aims to answer two questions of ‘Where is the Church?’ and ‘Where are the men?’ when it comes to ending violence against women. Mandy previously worked for Tearfund as their Programme Development Advisor for Gender. Mandy has travelled extensively over the last 20 years and has run gender and preventing gender based violence training across Africa, Central Asia, SE Asia & Latin America and the UK. She has various published articles & spoken at many different Christian events and churches nationally & internationally. In 2011, Mandy won a Deloitte Women Who Rock Award for her work on gender equality and ending violence against women. Mandy was the Church of England’s representative to the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in 2013 which focussed on preventing and ending violence against women. Originally from Southport, Mandy now worships at St Stephen’s Church in Twickenham and plays hockey for her local club, Richmond. She is also an identical twin.
Doors open from. 9.30am, with breakfast served at 10am.
