Chine Mbubaegbu is a Christian editor, journalist and writer. She is the first ever black female director of the Evangelical Alliance and is one of the youngest members of their leadership team. Her first book, 'Am I Beautiful', fights back against the beauty myth, and calls on women to reclaim their body image and recognise their true value in Christ.
On Saturday 6 June, Chine will be hosting a ‘Barefaced Breakfast’ at St David. This will be an opportunity for women to get together - make-up free - and look at struggles with body image, comparison and competition. Chine describes Barefaced Breakfasts as 'a chance for us to be vulnerable with each other so that together we can rid ourselves of the things that hold us back from going out and changing the world.'
The event is totally free of charge and a delicious breakfast will be provided. It's open to all women so feel free to invite friends and we look forward to seeing you there!
